Project Details

The Deodar Drive Drainage Upgrade delivered significant stormwater and drainage improvements within a highly constrained urban environment.

Hawthorne Infrastructure completed the installation of numerous stormwater pits, large cast in-situ culvert structures and precast culvert lids, which were lifted into place using mobile plant. The works involved detailed earthworks and complex service coordination, undertaken within a high-traffic, public-facing setting that required careful staging, precise planning and robust safety controls.

Construction was carried out around live services, necessitating close interface management to minimise disruption to surrounding infrastructure and the community. Despite these constraints, the project was delivered with zero incidents and minimal impact to traffic and stakeholders.

The project demonstrates Hawthorne Infrastructure’s capability to deliver technically demanding drainage infrastructure works within constrained urban environments, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and stakeholder engagement.
