Project Details

This project involved the construction of a new overpass bridge at Exit 49 of the Pacific Motorway (M1), delivered in coordination with the principal contractor and other key subcontractors managing earthworks and slope protection.

The works included the construction of SuperT girders with moderately complex geometry, cast in-situ pier and abutment foundations. Efficient staging and construction methodologies were critical to minimise disruption along this heavily trafficked corridor.

The project required complex traffic management measures, including partial and full motorway closures to safely construct a central pier with constrained site access.

Community and stakeholder engagement was moderate, due to the high traffic volume at the M1 interchange and the potential impact on a large number of motorists.

This project reflects the complexity and scale typical of B3 category bridge works, incorporating technical design, detailed staging, and high-level coordination within a live motorway environment.
